In the spring semester of 2021, I had the honor of writing 6 articles for DIG MAG, the independent student-run magazine publication at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). Since then, DIG MAG has undergone a website overhaul. Most articles published before the 2023-2024 school year will either be re-uploaded to the DIG MAG site in the indefinite future or be lost forever. As a result, my first 3 articles now cease to exist. That being said, I was granted access to my last 3 articles. Above is my article regarding a professor at CSULB who advocates for children and adults with diabetes–like himself–and lights up the world with his dog Splenda. I have the utmost respect for him, and I’d encourage you to read the article if you want a feel-good story, learn about diabetes, and/or just came to see the dog. Hey, I don’t blame you. There’s never any shame in that. If you want to check out the other 2 articles that still exist, feel free to click on the links below.
